Anyone been to this resort? Bluegreen just bought them out. I am wondering what people think. Is it in a good location? Does it need a lot of renovation?

That's awesome. I've been reading some of the reviews of the resort. People are saying it's a great location. I am stoked about that. It's a Silver Crown today. But, when Bluegreen gets done with it, they will make it a Gold Crown. With that location, it will be HOT, HOT, HOT.
Bluegreen is doing a good job at picking locations (with the exception of Club 36 in Las Vegas).
Patrick Henry Inn is right in historic Wiliamsburg. Fantasea is right on the Atlantic City Boardwalk. And, Club La Pension is right at the edge of the French Quarter.
Can't wait!

I own there, and I like it a lot. The rooms are comfortable and the location is probably the best of all the timeshares in the French Quarter. There are some problems with trash trucks making noise some nights. But the management has done what it can by putting in double pane windows to block out the noise.
Christen, the manager, is great, and the whole staff is very accommodating. There are also free washers and dryers after 5 pm for guests. They are the same washers and dryers that the staff uses during the day to wash the linens. I hope that Bluegreen keeps the management, staff and the washer dryer arrangement.

Originally posted by mshattyI often see availability in RCI for this resort. I wonder if its availability will be reduced, remain the same or increase with Bluegreen's affiliation.
If it is mostly sold out, then availability won't be impacted much at all. That's because owners will have to convert their weeks to points in order for inventory to get into the system. And, the Bluegreen fixed week upgrade program isn't very good anymore.
If, there is a lot of developer inventory, then exchange availability will be dramatically reduced. That's because all of that inventory will be made available to Vacation Club owners instead of being deposited into RCI.
