  • Back from Wyndham La Belle Maison

I just got back from Jazzfest and will post a review once the resort is added to the database. But the place was great, I would definitely stay there again. We had no trouble getting cabs, and it's not a long walk into the FQ.

Jazzfest was great but super HOT. I had some trouble getting around so didn't get to as many shows as I might have with two good knees, but a good time was had by all. The crowds were worse than last year, and we ran into some transportation issues, but could probably have planned better.

Please feel free to ask me any questions - unfortunately I didn't take any pictures of the "resort" or the unit, I thought there were some posted on the site already but I must've seen them elsewhere. Just think "really nice."

Our most interesting meal was at Cochon (not for vegetarians or anyone keeping kosher ). We also really liked Bistro at Maison De Ville. We ate at Stella again, as it was our favorite meal last year, but it has gotten extraordinarily pretentious since then - I think it's high ratings have gone to the chef's/owner's head(s), so I will smite them on Zagat.com to make up for last year's rave. The food was excellent, but just "too too."

If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

That would be my nephew's place. I hope "interesting" translates into "great".

I live south of New Orleans and I am really hoping that we can stay there soon for the weekend.

Cool! It was recommended to us through a friend associated with Top Chef, so your nephew certainly has respect in the foodie circles. I am not much for pork, or fried or spicy food, so I am not his target market. But we had a great evening and everyone enjoyed themselves, and the food that I was able to eat was excellent
