December 17 we will be overnight on our way to VA. Any good tips on eateries and entertainment?

The local is for fish season and enjoy wild life. Not much entertainment, unless you count walk around the lake and hope to encounter crocodile as one. The front desk will give you a map that shows some resturants in the local. Not many though. But enough and decent. The local tax is 9% though.

By the way, if you expect to have a sale pitch, you may be in disppointment.

Stopped by there on our way down. Still in the building stage.
They are 5 hours from Daytona Beach. Thought it may be worth staying rather than grabbing a motel.

It is much nice than a motel. Local is very peaceful. I did not check restaurants since I only stay 1 night, but some look decent enough.
