Has anyone been to Sky Valley, GA?

Anyone been there? Any must do's in the area?

Not sure Frank.
I booked it thru the Wyndham portal so can't check the unit number.
It's a 2 bedroom sleeps 6.

The resort page doesn't put pictures of inside of the units so I doubt it's updated.
But the area looks beautiful.

Sky valley has about a dozen HOA's within the resort. La Costa is my favorite, Cypress point, Tanglewood.... They have a large waterfall on site as well as a cute little church and the smallest police station you have ever seen. A golf course designed by Jack Nicolis, library, When you drove up you will see the cutest little store that has a huge working water wheel. I bought a bird house in town that is an exact replica of it. Too bad it only lasted 2 years. I guess it needed to be covered. There are mining, whitewater rafting and a view of the smoky mountains that is unreal. You are on the boarder of 3 states, GA, NC,and Tennessee

Wow! A dozen HOA's in the resort.
It didn't look that big on the website.
Well I don't golf or whitewater raft so I guess I'll just be enjoying the views.

There are a gazillion waterfalls in the area. This area is gorgeous but definitely different than what you are used to. I know restaurants are not your thing now but the Dillard House is to die for. Real country cooking (but mostly the meats are fried or cooked in gravy) I enjoyed gem mining while in the area. Bring a good book so not to get bored. When are you coming??

I've been near there...we rafted on the Chattooga River a couple years ago while visiting family in GA. Just googled The Dillard House...Oh my gosh. We so should have eaten there.....we were a large group-it would have been fun AND filling apparently.

I love waterfalls, just can't really do the trails to get to them anymore.
I hope you can see some by the roadside like in New Hampshire.
Be there before Thanksgiving in November.
Want to hit the Americasmart in Atlanta on the way up and back.

And restaurants are still my thing, I don't cook but appreciate all those who do.
And the menu looks awesome at the Dillard house, hopefully they let you do doggie bags.
I know my brother will love it. I love Southern comfort food. Cracker Barrel is a must when we do Orlando.

And one of the reasons why I chose this destination is that I knew it would be economical and awesome.
