Took a tour from South Seas Plantation atleast 7 years ago. Do not remember it being so expensive. It was interesting, but there was not much to see. I forget, but I think the author Pat Conroy taught or wrote on the island.

        Golf at Dafuskie

WE visit Dafuskie once a year to Golf. We are going over twice this year when we visit HH in February. Love it there. So quirt and peaceful. The boatride and golf package is cheaper than some courses just to Golf on HH.

They also have a famous Spa-Breathe Spa.

http://www.daufuskieislandresort.com...reathe_spa.cfm. An islander told us to golf on Melrose course rather than Bloody Pt.

Melrose seems to be the premier open play course on Dafuskie and the only one I have played. I do enjoy it. This will be the first year we will play Bloody point. I'll give my opinion when we return at end of Feb.

Hmmmmm, reasonably priced golf, and a spa. Sounds very nice. I bet this is would be worth tagging on a few days, to a HH, or Myrtle Beach stay.

                Angela,
I am not sure about the spa prices, but as I recall, with the ferry ride over, greens fees with cart, the total price was around $60 to $65 last year in February.

                  Rich...Those prices are very reasonable.

I just checked the price of an over-night stay at the spa. You can get a room with 2 queen beds for $159.00, a night. or, a 2 bdrm Ocean front cottage for $214.00 a night, off season. Prime season is $349.00 & $364.00 a night.....The spa looks beautiful, tho. And, they do offer some nice packages.
