There have been a couple of postings of free T/S weeks in other locations, so I thought I would mention at least one resort on the OBX that is doing that right now.
Ocean Villas II will give away any blue week if you pay the closing cost. I am not sure how much the closing costs are, but they are using Outer Banks Resort Rentals as their broker, and I believe OBBR's current closing costs are $367. Hatteras High has also done this sometimes in the past, but I don't know if they are doing it currently.
However, my suggestion for those wanting an offseason week would be The Windjammer which sells them for $100 or $200. They consistently have the lowest m/f on the beach, and that will make up for that minimal cost in a hurry.
Also, Ocean Villas II has run through its reserves in the last couple of years, and there may be some danger of a special assessment, something they have never had in their history to this point. This may be one reason they are giving away the blue weeks right now. If they get enough takers, it will make their finances a lot better.
