  • Best HHI wks to own for top RCI trade power?

Yeah I know "prime summer weeks" would be hot traders and possibly "tigers" with RCI. But, which weeks specifically? 21-35? 23-33? Anyone know for sure exactly which Hilton Head resort weeks command top trade power within RCI?

Obviously the best choice. But what if you can't buy that one? Or what if you buy a floating or flex resort on HHI and not allowed to reserve July 4? What is the span of time that would be "best weeks" for trading purposes?

Thanks for posting! Other opinions from owners of HHI weeks?

        Carol,

I would think the beginning of July thru mid August would be the best weeks. There were plenty of weeks popping up in II for the end of Aug. Probably due to the schools starting earlier in the south.

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

July to Mid Aug are the best weeks. With HH it seams that as soon as a new resort pops up that is the most requested. In turn supply and demand since new owners want to use there units. The more people request with little inventory the more trade power. IMO I would not buy a summer week there unless I was going to use it, I would not buy it for trading. That is an area the we love and look forward to going to. Some of my favorite resorts that we stayed at were Ocean Palms, And Port o Call. They are both in nice plantations. Ocean Palms is owned by Westin. Port o call is older but well maintained.

            Thank you all.

And Frank, I would be buying to use but sometimes trading and sometimes even renting it out. I'm meeting lots more people who like to travel, friends I can con into driving over to HHI with me tagging along, if I'll put them up in nice digs. LOL, sometimes bribery pays!

If I were looking on the South Carolina coast and for trading purposes, the first place I would look is Charleston rather than HHI. My first choice because it is both on the beach and close to the city would be Isle of Palms Resort and Beach Club, but it is hard to find resales as less than 10 of the units in the resort are timeshare.

Indeed, I would love to run across a deal on a week there. I would have to find something else to sell.
