Charleston or Columbia to HHI

Charleston looks closer, but Columbia looks like more of a direct drive. Any suggestions on how long the driving time is from both airports to HHI?

Have you checked Savannah? That's only 45 mins.

If it's b/t Charleston and Columbia, I would choose Charleston and spend some time there... it is supposed to be a beautiful charming city, we haven't made it there yet but hope to on our next HHI trip.

We are spending a week on HHI in February. Savannah and Jacksonville airfares are very high. I can get a good fare into Charleston or Columbia. Both would get us in at 10PM, so we would stay one night in the city before driving to HHI the next day. We could spend the day touring before driving over to HHI. I am leaning towards Charleston, but I just read that the drive is 2 hours. I thought it would be a little less than that.
