    Only Accessible by Boat

We passed on even going there even for a day trip when we were on Hilton Head this past summer. You can only access the island by boat and from what we've read the boats only carry people not vehicles so you are limited on what you can do. I guess if you want the feeling of being "stranded" on an island so to speak this is the place for you.

Don't know anything about the Residence Club but Daufuskie Island is worth a trip for a day or three. I was there last week. There is a luxury resort on the Island. The resort has two very good golf courses, a spa and the usual other amenities. I went for the day. I booked my tee time and took my clubs to the pier. A ferry (no charge) picked me up. My clubs were checked at the pier. Upon arrival, two buses were waiting. They asked where we were going and directed us on a bus. At the golf course my clubs had arrived and I played my round. I then wanted to go to another part of the Island. I told the pro shop, they called for a shuttle and I was delivered to my destination. The shuttles and golf carts are the modes of transportation. I played with a couple staying for 5 nights. They loved the island but said five nights was too long. My wife said the spa and the beach were amazing
