Questions airfare to MYR and Garden City Beach,SC

One of my long time buddies is getting married on Pawleys Island SC on December 23rd. I have to go.

Originally thought we might drive down but DH wants to be back for Xmas and that's one heck of a drive for 2 days. SO I found round trip air out of White Plains (HPN) to Myrtle Beach (MYR) for $339 on United. Is that a reasonable price? Taking into consideration that I fly down on the 22nd and home on Xmas Eve.

I can fly out of EWR,LGA,JFK,HPN or SWF with no problems.

I have to decide if $275 is worth it by tomorrow as well.

Check out spiritair.com and put yourself on their email alerts. They sometimes have amazing fares out of LGA-and look at Atlantic City too-that's not that far to drive if the fare is really low. I don't know if they'll have low fares during the holiday season though. Great non stop to MYR-we use it a lot. Also check airfares into Wilmington airport (ILM) it's about 2 hours from Pawley's Island but it may be a cheaper alternative.

Right now the lowest fare on Spirit is $361 out of LGA. Too bad HootersAir went belly up, they had great deals out of Newark.

eta: Lawren, check out Skyauction too. Air is blocked for your dates, but there are some resorts for less than $275 and even more on ReadySetGo (part of Skyauction) for a little more. Beware all bids have an additional $195 per week charge, so you wouldn't be saving a lot.

I had another thought-you can check Charleston, SC (CHS) airport too. That's about 80 miles I think from Pawleys Island.

If you don't mind driving, Jet Blue just announced today that they are flying direct from NY to Jacksonville FL. It might take you 3 hours but it can save you some money if you get in on the lowest fare with them.
