Timeshare in Charleston SC

My wife and I are interested in a week at the Church Street Inn in downtown Charleston. We will be using SFX for the exchange and it is in their directory.

We will tie it in with our trip to Tennessee next year. We are going to Nashville for the Country Music festival during the first week of June 2008. I am thinking of requesting a week in Charleston toward the end of May and then driving from Charleston to Knoxville where we will stay a few days in a hotel and then off to Nashville. The Nashville stay is fixed because of the Country Music Festival but the rest of the trip is flexible as long as we can make a reasonable coordination. We have all the time in the world. We may make a few stops on our way to Knoxville. We will fly from Ontario CA to Charleston and then return back from Nashville. We will rent a car in Charleston and drive to Nashville. Charleston is the only area that we are interested in getting a timeshare.

1. Is anybody familiar with the Church Street Inn? It appeals to us as it is right downtown.
2. Will there be any problem renting the car in Charleston and dropping it off in Nashville?
3. It appears that May is a good month to visit Charleston. Is this correct?

Any other Info would be greatly appreciated.

May is a fine time to visit Charleston and Church Street in is well located. All of downtown is walkable, it's not a big city constrained by two rivers that are very close together. I lived there two separate times.

Just because it's in SFX's directory doesn't necessarily mean much in regards to availability, best of luck.

No problem with a one way car rental, it'll probably just cost you more. In the past, I have had best luck with National for rentals like that.
