We are going to Myrtle Beach the end of February, 2009. We are flying into Wilmington, NC and plan to spend an extra two days there before we fly out at the end of the week. Any recommendation on where to stay by the airport one night and in the Wrightsville Beach area the other night?

Wilmington is not that big. I do not think there are any hotel at or by the airport. You may want to spend both nights at Wrightsville Beach as it is not that far from the airports. Maybe 20 minutes depending on traffic. If you do want to stay in Wilmington there is a Hilton on the river front and some other smaller hotel chains and independants around town...... The Extended Stay is only a few years old and is one of the newer hotels. PM me if you need more information.
