Hymans is a great place for seafood. If you check around you can get a card (I got mine at the market) for a free appitizer. The She Crab soup is wonderful.
Walk the market and talk with the local people - the Gullah are the ones who make the sweet grass baskets
Go to Ft. Sumter
The Citadel is also located in Charleston - see when they have the evening parades on the yard
Walk down to the waterfront and swing on the swings
Charleston is one of my favorite places!
