Hard Rock Park-- Bankrupt!!

Just heard on the news that the new Hard Rock Park has declared bankruptcy. They didn't get nearly the amount of visitors they were anticipating. Itt is closed for the season. They said they were planning on re=opening it next year. I don't understand if they go bankrupt. I have not talked to anyone who has been there yet. shaggy

Shaggy - there are different kinds of bankruptcies. I'm assuming they filed 'chapter 11' which gives them an oppt'y to work things out/ satisfy creditors, reorganize and keep operating (....other 'chapters' would just dissolve the corporation.)

I think they were charging too much for admission, but also people do not have as much money to spend on such things now either.... When they started building it the economy was going strong.......

Cat, if you find yourself in the North End of MB go to Hoskins on main st in No. MB. Another great place in central (main) MB is Mrs. Fish, but someone told me it is closed. BOO Hoo. Have a great time. Where are you staying? shaggy
