Advice needed asap- 3bd unit on hold Peppertree Atlantic Beach NC

I have a 3bd sleeps 8 early summer week on hold. I have read mixed reviews on trip advisor and such about this resort being outdated or being far from the beach to being nice and a relaxing time.

Been to OBX, Myrtle Beach, Hilton Head,Virginia Beach and gulf of Florida.

Heard nice things about Wilmington NC area. AB is 100 miles north.

My intention is to have our adult sons and GFs stay with us in a nice resort where we are not cramped.

Normally I would chose HHI but NC is much closer for our DC and NYC sons with the current economy.

Should I keep this or pass. Renting a house is a thought but pricier.

I bet u could rent a 4BR house near the beach for 1K for the week in early (May?) summer....why not make a few quick calls tomorrow morning or look on the internet tonight.

We were here years back and loved the resort after the first night. The first night was tough cause the room smelled but they put an ozone filter the next day and that fixrd it. The staff was great there and they have a lot of activites planed. Area has some nice restaurants over the bridge, Take it

Last time we were in AB we stopped in and took a look at Peppertree and it looked much better that the other 2 places we have stayed there. If you are thinking things may be cramped- remember that you shouldn't be spending a lot of time in the rooms.
