Charleston/Edisto Island

We will be going to Chareston and then Edisto Island. We will be staying at Lodge Alley in Charleston and we have been there several times. At Edisto Island we will be at Wyndham Ocean Ridge II that we got through RCI. We have never been to Edisto and don't know much about Ocean Ridge II.

Was wondering if any one could give us some "reviews" of the Island and the resort.

I grew up going to Edisto Island. If you're expecting an Ocean City, Virginia Beach, or Myrtle Beach type experience you'll be in for a sad shock. Edisto is wonderful but it's more like a very laid back and less developed Hilton Head. Go, relax.

Edisto is very remote. We drove out there from Charleston and looked at some property about 10 years ago. It is much less developed than Hilton Head, unless things have changed significantly in the last 10 years. Take board games and a deck of cards.
