Remember, we are talking Westgate. You'll have to agree to a tour first before they let you exchange into the penthouse. Otherwise you'll get that first floor unit in the back with the lovely view of the dumpsters.

I believe all the units were set up so that they could be sold as 4 bedroom lock-outs. The way Westgate built their tower in Branson, MO allowed for units to be sold from this configuration as 4 bedroom units or two 2 bedroom units. I would assume that they could break that down into 1 bedroom and studio units as well but, I never really wanted to sit through a Westgate presentation just to find out.

I know that the Perry mentioned being able to lock-out his unit into different configurations. I believe part of the draw was being able to use what he wanted and rent out the remainder of the unit. Considering what hotel room prices have gone for in Vegas on NYE, that wouldn't surprise me. Of course that was before the boom in building all those additional rooms coupled with the economic downturn. What might have been true yesterday might not be true today.

So did you get matched to anything? I just posted a big bulk banking but nothing larger than a 2BR

not yet, Looking for the 3 bedroom or bigger, That would be great if it was a 4 bedroom that split into 2, I might actually get a 4 bedoom with a 3 bedroom search, But if they split to 2 2 bedrooms I doubt we will ever see 4 bedrooms.

There are a few resorts like this and, I suspect you're correct, you'll never (maybe rarely) see a 4 bedroom unit. I know I've seen very few 3 bedroom units online but, it could also be that those larger units are snagged before they ever get to the online search engine at Interval.

I did a one year search for Las Vegas using my DRI points account. Westgate PHT didn't show any units being available in any size. I don't know if it's a glitch in Interval's online system or if DRI points are strong enough to generate a PHT unit.

My DRI account can pull studio and one bedroom for every week from January to July. If I am not tired of Vegas, I will go again. Why not? Nice location and brand new resort.

I care less about Westgate. I have dealt with them many times for freebies; they can't drill any blood from me.

I just tell them I can't stand the jerk that owns Westgate and that pretty much stops them in their tracks. But then again, that's just the body snatchers in the casino's. I've never sat through a Westgate torture session and I don't plan on starting now.

I bet I entered my dates incorrectly. I went back and paid better attention to what I was doing and came up with tons of studio and one bedroom LK's with my DRI account. I probably entered Dec. 25th to Jan. 2010 rather than Dec. 2010.

At any rate, all I see are the limited kitchen units, which tells me that I wouldn't be getting anything more than a glorified studio at this point. I suppose if I paid as much as Westgate owners paid for those units, I'd be using the master suite and exchanging the lock-off section the first year or two. At least until the new worth off and I wanted to go someplace different. Or maybe this will be a high owner occupancy timeshare and the best any non-owner will do is one of the studio units or the smaller one bedroom LK lock-off units.
