Another independently owned casino's off the map and into the hands of either Harrah's or MGM/Mirage. I'm waiting for he day when they just link all of their company owned casino's together so that the only time you ever have to walk outside if if you're going from an MGM/Mirage owned casino over to a Harrah's owned casino. The lack of significant compitition between casinos is one of the factors that have led us away from Las Vegas for the last two years and possibly into the forseable future.

You can still go to South Pointe.
It is very true that MGM and Harrah's own the strip.
We stopped going to Las Vegas a few years ago except for special events. We go to the casino/resorts in Southern California staying 3 nights each visit. Our favorite is Agua Caliente in Rancho Mirage ( Palm Springs area ). We just got back from there a week ago. They fully comp us for everything ( suite, meals, shows, etc. ). Their accommodations are very luxurious. The suite we stay in is larger than most 1 BR timeshares and very elegant. It is by far the nicest suite we have ever stayed in.
