  • If I can't get Sedona then where?

So it looks like Fall in Sedona might be a problem.. Where else should I be looking if I wanted to see Sedona and the Grand Canyon? Sorry my AZ map doesn't show much!! hahaha

We really enjoyed staying at the Fairfield, now Wyndham, in Flagstaff.

Which exchange companies do you use? Do you like it warm or cool? Do you want to do some day trips?

You could consider Las Vegas and Phoenix, but they would be warm to very warm.

Lots of October Sedona in RCI. Found three in HTSE. Trading places has a September unit in Sedona and two October units in Flagstaff. Platinum has a September unit and a November unit. I didn't see anything in II worth talking about but II folks deposit late from what I see. I don't think Sedona in the fall is too tough to get unless you have specific resorts you want to stay in. Can you deposit something with the independents to get something now?

It would be helpful to know which exchange company you are trying to use...it is surprising that you don't see anything for fall. We all will try to help.

            Wigwam Motel

We leave Saturday for a week at Las Vegas and then a week later at the Sedona Pines. We had one Saturday night to find someplace to stay and DW found the Tee Pee place on the old Route 66 in Holbrook, AZ. Should be a hoot. They have various older cars parked around the complex to add to the feeling! We picked ours up on RCI's Last Call.

Are you staying at Tee Pee on your way from Las Vegas? I am thinking, no... But I do agree, it should be a great fun night....I think they profiled this place in AAA magazine recently.

We have stayed at the Wigwag in Holbook, AZ. It was fun with the Grandsons. It is a pretty good drive east of Flagstaff. Things to see along the way - Walnut Canyon National Monument and Meteor Crater. Also Petrified Forest National Park is just to the east of Holbrook.

I am using RCI-- have to use a WEEK up by November-- But between family weddings and co-worker wedding (need to cover for him while he is gone) I have some restrictions on which weeks --Last week in Sept or first week in October or November (which I think might be too cold..)
And everything I tried pulling in Sedona came up with different weeks in October--UGH!
I will give it another whirl today...

I would suggest placing an ongoing request if you don't see what you need online.

Late Oct or early November are not traditionally cold....cool maybe but not cold.

I think it might be advisable to place an ongoing request for specific resorts....you should find something for the weeks you want.

If you really want to see the Grand Canyon, Wyndham in Flagstaff is an option, but you will have colder weather because of the elevation.

In Sedona, try searching for Villas of Sedona, Sedona Springs, Wyndham of Sedona, The Ridge, Los Abrigados, Arroyo Roble and the Summit. I am quite optimistic you should find something.
