  • Vegas here we come

We are off to LV tomorrow! We'll be at Polo Towers, our first visit to this resort. We are going on a promo, and will have to do the tour. I know, I know...my mantra is "Resale, resale". We have done many of these tours, and are in no danger of signing up, so no fears there.

About 5 years ago, we stayed there on a promo and took the tour. No danger to us either. The thing we still laugh about is the saleslady saying "you can easily rent this 2 bedroom for $3000" anytime. I said, "for $3000 my friends would rather stay at Bellagio." Her retort was, but your morning cup of coffee will be $5.... that's all she could think of...

    Dori, have a great trip!!!

Can anyone tell me about transporation in Vega? I am planning a trip for early Oct for a 2 day class. I am thinking of staying at Bluegreen's Club 36 while the class is little over 2 miles away at the Luxor. I don't want to walk that distance carrying my laptop. Not sure if there are shuttles that go on that path, or what a taxi may cost.

Anyone familiar with the area that can offer suggestions?

They have a great transportation system. I have never rented a car. Frequent buses and trollys right on the strip. shaggy

LOL Shaggy! You are the most adventurous person I know, so your advice could get us into a heap of trouble!

We had a great time in LV. Sadly, we didn't win any money, but it was lots of fun anyway. Our stay at the Polo Towers was very nice. they put us in a one-bedroom unit facing the three golden towers (I can't remember what they are called. The Carriage Houe and Grand Chateau were right out our window.

The sales presentation was very low-key, and actually quite enjoyable. Of course we declined their offers. We had dinner and saw American Superstars at the Stratoshpere, as well as going up to the observation deck, all compliments of Diamond. We now have a 2-night certificate to to use in the next 18 months. We are thinking maybe Phoenix/Scottsdale..

All in all it was a great trip.
