What is there to do in the Austin, TX area in April? We are wanting to do all the Presidential Libaries and are considering a trip there to do LBJ's.

Lots to do in great weather. If you like to eat, there are many local joints that are lots of fun.
Food Network always has Austin eateries on different shows. Most are pretty good.
Lots of music on 6th Street; crowd tends to be young tho.
I vote for Rudy's BBQ too, although Salt Link in Driftwood (just outside Austin) is an experience and great BBQ.

The nicest one that is close is the Worldmark in New Braunfels, 49 miles south of Austin (about 1/2 way between San Antonio and Austin). There are a couple TSs around Lake Travis on the west side of Austin, Texas Timeshare (Lakeway) and Shores at Lake Travis (Lago Vista). Both of these are average type timeshares. Texas Timeshare is on a cove that goes out to Lake Travis. They are like pod type units on tall stilts. It's right by the Lakeway Inn and last I knew had some privileges at the Inn. Shores at Lake Travis is managed by VRI and is an older complex. VRI is probably doing a good job with management.
Down in New Braunfels, there are a couple of other TS, including a Silverleaf on Canyon Lake.
Unfortunately, there is no TS in Austin proper.

Worldmark in New Braunfels it is!
Ran out of time this spring so we are doing our trip in the fall.
We were able to pick up the Worldmark in New Braunfels starting October 29. Thanks for the recommendation. We plan to do Austin (LBJ Library)- any recommendations on a good reasonable motel there? Also want to do College Station (Bush Library) on that road trip. Will probably try to do LBJ Ranch and then spend the rest of the time visiting things in San Antonio. Any recommendations besides the Alamo and Riverwalk? Any places that we should eat in Austin, College Station and/or San Antonio. It will be a fast week.

In San Antonio, there are many Tex Mex places, some historic, some on Food Network. The Sea Island Shrimp House has a couple of locations and has very good seafood.
As for a reasonable motel in Austin, all of the major chains are there. If you are in or real near downtown, the price will be higher. If you can stay south or north of downtown off I-35, you will find prices somewhat better. Austin usually has lots of weekend things going on so the motels are often filled up. You will be south of Austin so I would suggest a Hampton Inn at Ben White and I-35.
Double check the weekend when you are in the area to see if there is a football game in Austin on that Saturday. There are lots of fans driving in from Houston Dallas San Antonio for the game.
You'll have a great time in the area. You are going to have a fast week. You'll have to go home to rest.
