  • Nice new photos gophish!

Both of those FF resorts look very nice. I especially like the Flagstaff unit. I think the photo library is one of the best features of this site.

Can't wait to hear about your trip and read your reviews.

Thanks for taking them and sharing with us.

Wow ! great photos. Looks like a nice place... I own there, never been.

I stayed at sedona pines. Different, but enjoyable.

Hope you enjoyed the Grand Canyon.

Thanks for the comments. The Grand Desert in Vegas is pretty nice, it/s kind of a standard 2BR but in very good shape with lots of room and only a couple of blocks off the strip.
The Flagstaff units were really special. The bathrooms, especially the master bath were very small but that was the only drawback, the rest of the unit was great with the vaulted ceilings in lr, gas fireplace and hot tub on deck, a very comfortable place. I think Sedona is much prettier area than Flagstaff but the closeness to the canyon is very nice and there is a lot to do in that area.
Will post a review of each in next few days.

Which unit has the hot tub on the deck

Your photos of FF Flagstaff are great. I've been planning to go there for years. I really want the unit with the hot tub on the deck but I don't know which configuration to get.

The descriptions on the FF Flagstaff website (floorplans) have a different listing of number of bedrooms than in the RCI listing. Do I want the 6/4, 8/4, 6/6, or 8/6 (all listed with RCI as 2BR units). On the FF website it shows a floor plan for a 3BR unit (which isn't offered on RCI) that has the hot tub on the deck. Also the 2BR loft unit seems to have the hot tub in the photo.

I belive that there are 2 types of units in the Tanglewood Section tht have hot tubs. In FF they are listed as 2BR Delux and 2 BR Plus. From what I can tell most all the units in the Ridgewood section are 1BR.
The unit we had was #362 and it was what FF describes as a 2BR Plus. I thint that our unit was an 8/6 as there was a king bed in master, 2 twins in 2nd BR, a full or a queen in loft, and a sofa sleeper in lr. Since the loft and 2nd BR were both on the 2nd floor you had to enter the loft space from 2nd BR to use upstairs bathroom, so thats why listed as 8/6. It was the configuration that is in the floor plans on the FF Yahoo Group with some slight differences (in our unit both the loft and the second bedroom were on the 2nd floor). I beleive that at least units 360-365 are this type of configuration as they were all in a row and looked the same as ours. They are arranged 2 units to a building kind of like a duplex.
When I booked this thru Fairfield the VC called it the 3BR unit so there are some differences in terminology used.
The other unit that I think has the hot tub on deck is the 2BR Delux in the Tanglewood section. I didn't see any of these units first hand but the floorplans look like that is the case.
We really liked the unit we had, it was extremely comfortable and the hot tub was great on those chilly nights. The temps when we were there were in the 80's during the day but would go down to the 40's at night.
          Hope this helps.

Thanks for the explanation. That helps a lot, especially having a unit number to request. My brother and I are both Fairfield Pagosa owners so we could go through FF or I'm also an RCI member and I see Flagstaff come up from time to time. Now I know I should probably wait for either and RCI designated 2 BR- 8/6 or a 3BR if we use FF to be available before I take a trade.
