Another AZ question

I have been trying to get to Sedona for 6 years now!! We are finally going this June.. and of course finding a place is next to impossible. (June 4-11/12)

Here are my choices:
I can do a full week at Sedona Pines: Has mixed reviews but has a kitchen.
I can do a partial week at Highlands Resort at Verde Ridge which is in Cornville- also has a kitchen (would need to find another place for rest of wk)
I can do a full week at Sedona Summit-studio unit only- partial kitchen

For those of you who have been can you provide any guidance?
We will be doing the touristy things.. a day at the grand canyon, touring red rocks etc.

I have never stayed at a place with no kitchen as we do like to eat in when possible. No oven kinda scares me! But comfort is a requirement too!

We love Sedona. If it were me, I'd avoid Cornville and stay in Sedona proper. We've stayed at Sedona Summit and liked it, and the studio units are very nice. The kitchen is small, but does have a little table for "dining in." The bath in the studio unit is very nice. There's a separate bedroom and a pull-out couch in the sitting/kitchen area.

We've never stayed at Sedona Pines so I can't contribute anything there.

Haven't heard good things about the Pines...the Summit is nice enough, but I don't know personally how the studio would work out.

Cornville is really pretty unpicturesque and also a bit of a travel to Sedona and GC touring.

Have you checked out VRI properties like Villas of Sedona, Poco Diablo and Sedona Springs rentals....you might find something there....

Well we decided to go with the Summit studio and did an ongoing search for a one bedroom. Guess what...within an hour a one bedroom came up. So we are good to go now! (althought the dates are off by a day...drats will have to extend my vacation!)

So darn excited... I have been asking Katie questions about this area since 2005 I think!!
