  • WorldMark New Braunfels (#A867) Question(s)

We have a RCI exchange at WorldMark New Braunfels (#A867) starting on Oct. 29th. Is there a building and/or floor an/or unit that we should request?

Eric, You always seem to end up in the oddest (to me) places. I can't help much as WorldMark does not provide resort maps on-line but here is the resort info sheet: https://www.worldmarktheclub.com/res...s/brochure.pdf

Probably more than you got from RCI.

We were just at this resort Labor Day Week. The units are really nice. Units 1001-2-3-4-5-6 are near the Recreation Center. The rest of the units are up a little hill. I drove down to the pool (I can't walk up a hill) DH walked. We also saw several people walking. There are two units to each building. All the units have two floors. 2 bedroom units have: First floor has kitchen, living/dining, master bedroom king, master bath, laundry room, half bath. Second floor has guest bedroom with two twins, loft and full bath.

        Eric,

The units themselves are really great. We have stayed here 4 times. There's so much to do in the area. San Antonio and Austin are short drives away. Shopping is even closer.

The best location to me is along the south fence line. It looks over a open area that will oftentimes have deer and other wildlife show up.

Lawren, you need to put this on one of your to do lists. It is pure Texana in the Hill Country. This was a development that was purchased by Wyndham by Worldmark from the original developers. It was going to be a private condo ownership. Then the financial mess hit. IMO it has some of the nicest units you will ever stay in.

Loved your photos Hop. Looks great! I'm adding it to my list. Do the units have patios/balconies? We love to sit outside and hopefully have a nice view. Any photos of the views from the units?

Opps, I forgot to take a pic of the front. Every front entrance has a patio with two chairs and a table. There is a wall between the two units so there is some privacy. It is a small resort with only 46 units.

                More photos

Here's a link to some of my photos of the resort. This is a 3BR unit. The 2BR units are very similar.

Thanks for the great photos. Is the pool heated and how much is the internet. Looking forward to our visit.

I don't think the pool is heated (unnecessary 10 months of the year) There is a hot tub/spa at the pool that is heated. I think internet is about $10 to $15 for the week.

While we are up in Austin, should we plan to stay one night there, should we visit - Round Rock Donuts, home of the two pound donut?

Downtown Austin is 50 miles from the resort. It would just depend on what you are wanting to do in Austin. If it is a really late night closing a bar on 6th street, it would be better to sleep it off.

Round Rock Donuts is famous and a Food Network feature. Personally, I visited once but have no need to go back. The donuts were fine, the line to get in on a Saturday morning were long. There are some stores in the Austin area that will sell the Round Rock Donuts.

Fun places to drive or visit: Saltlick BBQ in Driftwood, Wimberly, Canyon Lake, San Antonio, of course, San Marcos outlet stores on I-35.

Thanks, while we are there, we want to go to LJB Ranch, Lyndon B. Johnson Library and George H. W. Bush Library (our bucket list includes going to all of the Presidential Libraries - been to 5 already), Austin and San Antonio. Wife wants to go to Saltlick BBQ in Driftwood, sister-in-law wants to go to Round Rock Donuts. It will be a busy week.

We ate one night at Gristmill's in Gruene. It was very good but go during the week, not as crowded.
