These may be out of the way, but the Bluebonnet Cafe in Marble Falls serves 4-5 inch tall homemade lemon meringue pies (Other varieties are available.) The have an afternoon pie special from 3-5. George H. Bush library is in College Station.

This is what I enjoy about these forums: getting to know about the "unknown" resorts. New Braunfels sounds like a real gem.

New Braunfels is also home to Schlitterbahn which when I was there 20+ years ago was an awesome waterpark.

Here this week, nice resort and good unit. We have done the LBJ Ranch and eaten at Gristmill's in Gruene and Bluebonnet Cafe in Marble Falls. Today we do an overnighter to Austin. The only negative so far has been the railroad train activity, but we are getting used to it.

Go to the front desk they will give you some ear plugs. lol Actually I don't remember that even bothering us. Enjoy your week. The weather is great!!

We had a great visit and enjoyed the Worldmark. Wonderful location for what we wanted to do. Thanks for all the information.
