  • Las Vegas / Grand Canyon Questions

I need some input on LV.....
    1. Which timeshares to stay at and which to avoid?
    2. What to do in the area? I am taking my mom and 2 other senior citizens.
    3. Suggestions on shows/entertainment as we are not big gamblers, but will drop a few coins in machines.
    4. Planning on driving over to the Grand Canyon and stay 2 nights ~ suggestions on what to do there and things along the way.

I might add that we are looking to go in late September - October.

    Thanks

We really enjoyed the Titanic exhibit at the Luxor.

Near the Strip, I like Polo Towers or the Marriott Grand Chateau. Away from the strip, the Grandview units are nice. A two bedroom unit is actually two full one bedroom units with a common foyer. They can usually be found year-round for very reasonable TPUs on RCI.

Go see the Hoover dam on the way to the grand canyon. As for shows any cirque de soleil is worth it. I also like the shark reef aquarium at Mandalay Bay the Fremont street experience and Siegfreid and Roy's secret garden and dolphin habitat. The Bellagio has a conservatory and botanical garden that is worth seeing.

Are you looking for II or RCI affiliated resorts or does it matter?

I am assuming this is your first trip to Las Vegas and therefore I would recommend staying at a timeshare on or close to the strip. My favorite by far is the HGVC/Flamingo which has the best location.
