Timeshares/Hotels near Summerlin Hospital in Las Vegas

I am considering having some surgery at Summerlin Hospital in Las Vegas. I live across the country (in CT), but there is a surgeon there who can do a specific operation that I need. The surgery is a bit difficult and I will need to be in the hospital for a few days, and then would probably want to stay in Vegas for two weeks while I recover, in case there are any issues.

I was thinking about staying at a hotel near the hospital, but if I bring a friend with me to help me, then a hotel room would be tight for the two of us...it would be better if we had a timeshare. Still, if anyone out there can tell me if there is a decent timeshare not too far from the hospital, or if they know of which decent hotels are near the hospital, I would really appreciate it. From my Mapquesting/Googling, it seems like the Cliffs at Peace Canyon may be one of the closer ones, but still not that close.

I'm a little nervous about doing this so far from home as so many things can happen, but there unfortunately aren't any good choices close to home.

We did the same thing in the opposite direction in August. We went from Phoenix to Philly for my wife's back surgery at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. We stayed at Candlewood Suites in a 1 bdr unit with a sofa bed. We stayed in the ADA unit so she could have a walk-in shower during our stay. We stayed for 15 nights at 85/night. There is a Candlewood in Vegas but I don't know if its close enough for you.

I live in Vegas. But I'm new to timeshares and I've only ever stayed in timeshares away from home. That said, I'm learning about local timeshares (in case I want to put my mom in one when she comes to visit).

It looks like Cliffs at Peace Canyon is relatively close. You'd just take the 215 north and go east on Summerlin Pkwy to Town Center. Should be a 10 minute drive.
