    February or March

As long as it isn't a holiday week, the crowds should be down then. Personally I'd choose March, cause the weather is better; winter should be over, it will be warming up a bit and the winds will be down.

Always be aware of when the big conventions are in town.....they can really pack the city and hotels.

Thanks for the great website listing the conventions. Wow. There sure are alot. How many is considered too many?

Also, thanks for the answer for February & March crowds. We may have to do February (due to my husband's schedule), but I'm going to try for March if possible.

            Temps and Conventions

The average daily high February 1st is 60. March 1st is 66. March 31st is 73.

Conventions are a concern. One of my Polo Towers weeks is the same time as a convention with 110,000 registered attendees, and I could not rent an extra weekend night last year due to the show.

              Early December

Early December is not a low season time any more if you are trying to rent a room during Rodeo Week (the first part of December). Its a huge event and has changed the dynamics of that period of time. Besides the rodeo there are perhaps twenty or more name acts from country music all performing in town during the same timeframe, as well as free concerts with name acts on the Fremont Street stages.

We just got back from Las Vegas. We'll never go there again during the summer months. It was too hot and too crowded. Everyone said it was cooler than normal and we "lucked out" with the weather. Sure didn't feel that way.

We went to Vegas in May before and it was perfect. I think we'll stick with that month when we go there again.

                    March

We went in March a few years ago... the weather was perfect... laid by the pool by day and saw shows by night....
I personally think vegas is crowded year round... even March is spring break for some.

I would think summer in Vegas would always be busy. Lots of people on thier way to somewhere else and spend a couple days in Vegas. Dont know how many resorts are points. I have family in Vegas and we go there a couple of times each year. I cant quite take a week even though I do gamble.

Holidays are harder to get in Vegas. Summer seems to have less availability. May and October seems to be easier. There are some nice timeshares that arent on the strip. Ive stayed at Club de Solei and Westgate and both are very nice and you can buy them pretty cheap. Just an option.

We bought a week 42 ey and and week 37 tri year at Cliffs at Peace Canyon for the RCI weeks for Points Deposit.

Week 42 is some of the nicest weather of the year in Vegas.

We rented out our week 42 this year to a party from Canada that perfers that area compared to the strip because of the Red Rock area.

We wil be staying at Cliffs on a RCI Points exchange from Oct 21 to the 24 to explore the resort and meet our renters. We are also going to be staying t at the Marriott from Oct 21 to Oct 28 on a II exchange using a CMV Cottage UDI $48 Blueweek (a Thanks giving week).

Are any of you others exchanging into Vegas that week?
