  • Discounts in Sedona?

I'm always looking for a bargain. I'm not going to Sedona until springtime, but I'm searching already for deals. My normal best way to save money, the Entertainment book doesn't look like it's going to be a good optioin for Sedona. Besides going on a timesahre presentation, does anyone have suggestions of getting discounts of various siteseeing activities and eating?

    Looking forward to your responses.

The Chamber of Commerce sells the SuperPass Coupon Book.

The local newspaper, The Sedona Red Rock News, has a free weekly called Kudos, and sometimes there are restaurant coupons in there, as well as in the Red Rock News.

Sedona restaurants don't feel compelled to participate in a program like Entertainment it seems. If you stop at the Factory Outlets in the Village of Oak Creek, sometimes there will be some coupons for local eateries lying on the cashier counters.

        Hi Debbie and Katiemack,
Thanks! Both are excellent sources of information.

By the way, is there a good guide on visiting Sedona? I was really impressed by "Maui Revealed" during our recent visit there.

          You could try this ONE

....but we have found the best source of info are the locals themselves and the concierge at the resort....these folks are up to date about the the CURRENT conditions of trails, restaurants and discount offers.

Edited to say: Keep in mind the copyright shows when a book has been printed...anything over 3 years you should view with an eye that many of the commercial references have probably changed in some way or no longer exist...Sedona has a very "fluid" commercial activity. Pricing is always changing for hotels, tours, etc. Restaurants change chefs so fast you think lightning struck the place...some restaurants go out of business before you know it...and some that remain open...well some wonder how they have managed to survive, until you realize their location (convenient to tourists). If a book is older than 3 years, the only truly reliable info might be the hiking lists, but with fire dangers and monsoons or road work, even that might become less reliable as conditions change there too, but it would give you an idea of some of the terrain, popular trails and parks.

But if you are interested in parks and such, try the parks links in the sticky at top of the forum.
