We have a couple of deposits in RCI that need to be used up this year, and I was thinking of going somewhere in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area. I'd like to hear recommendations from folks here for places that trade pretty easily in RCI but aren't complete dumps(at least one of my deposits from Fairfield is a low point week, so not sure how well it trades). Thanks in advance!

I can recommend Sheraton Desert Oasis, Vacation Condos at Tapatio and the Westin Kierland (don't think though it trades thru RCI).
Other good ones, Sunterra Scottsdale Villa Mirage and Scottsdale Camelback.
If you are talking points trades, I am afraid I don't know how they trade in points.
Depending on the time of year you are requesting, availability is variable.
Have you thought of Sedona....there are quite a few in Sedona that come up frequently for trades.Life is short, live it with this awareness.

Glad to see the Westin Kierland in your recommendations. We've confirmed and exchange for Jan. of 2008 for that resort. Wish it would have been this year as I'm tired of this cold weather we've been having. Our timeshare and other photo's at http://dougp26364.smugmug.com/

Good luck.
This is so true...SVM has a great location, as do Westin and SDO. The shops are very close, some fantastic restaurants, and quite a few local attractions are within a short drive. We always enjoy our time at SVM. The pool is terrific, the units have good space, with sensible layouts. Can't go wrong, for sure.Life is short, live it with this awareness.
