  • Please rank the II member Sedona resorts.

I want to spend two weeks in June of 08 in Sedona. Alas, there are no Marriotts, Hiltons, or Disney resorts in Sedona so I'm going to have to reach beyond my comfort zone.

The Hyatt Pinon Point looks terrific, but it may be a tough get with the weeks I own. What are your suggestions for the nicest resorts in Sedona?

My family is mostly interested in the condition and quality of the furnishings, decor, the pool area, and we've always stayed in a two bedroom or larger with a washer and dryer in the unit - and a full kitchen of course. In Sedona we would like to add the best possible view. Resort activities for the kids are nice, but we don't plan our vacation around them.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

The Hyatt is great!! Right in the center of town. Great resort and pool/spa. Nice club house and exersize room. Great views of the valley. Easy walk to the old town shopping.

            Hello,
We stayed in a 2 bedroom lockoff at The Ridge on Sedona Golf Course. We prefered that location to that of Summit. I know nothing about the Hyatt. We loved the Ridge. Nice views. Close enough to town. Beautiful drive to town. Rooms with a view of the red rocks are Buildings 13-16. We called a week ahead and requested one of these rooms. Received 1604 upstairs. Very nice. Lower numbers (13-15) might be better due to the trees. I can mail you a property map if you PM me with your address. We would go back again in a heartbeat.

Just to let folks know that during the summer of 2007, the construction on Hwy 179 locates in Village of Oak Creek (south of Sedona proper) and is where the Ridge is located. Those who don't want to deal with this problem of lengthy traffic delays, dust, noise or the like, might prefer to look for other resorts, located in Sedona proper (like the Summit, Villas of Sedona, Los Abrigados, Arroyo Roble, Hyatt, Sedona Springs, etc.).
Life is short, live it with this awareness.
