This week I've seen a lot of Nevada Highway Patrol on our freeways. They drive navy blue cars with NHP on the doors. Wanted to give you guys a heads up on an interesting traffic rule here. If a policeman/trooper is stopped at the side of the freeway, by law you must either move out of the adjoining (right hand or left hand) lane, or if unable to do so, slow down as much as possible until past them. Now I've never known anybody to get a ticket for not doing so, but it is the law, besides being common courtesy. That's why you see trucks try to change lanes when the police are stopped on the shoulder anywhere.
Long as I am mentioning Nevada highways, if you need police help while on the freeway, instead of dialing 9-1-1, dial *NHP. That will hook you right up with the highway patrol.
