We are staying at the Hyatt the first week (2 bdrm snagged with a studio thanks to a TS4Ms sighting by Angela) and at Sedona Summit the 2nd week. We have reservations for the Sunday Brunch on Mother's Day at the Enchantment Resort. I'm sure we will take a Pink Jeep Tour & go for some of the easier hikes in the canyon as well. Thank you everyone who have posted tour & restaurant recommendations & especially Katiemack for her expertise.

I'll do resort reviews when we get back!

My DD & SIL will be transferred back to the States in December. It's not definite but they think they are going to be sent to the AFB in Tuscon. Of course, I'll have to go out and visit. Does that count?

We have never been to Sedona yet. I keep hoping. If not, one day, I will go alone.

I love Sedona; my brother has never been.

Arroyo Roble is perfect for us. It's a smaller resort with well kept units. It is convenient to uptown Sedona and restaurants. It's off the main drag and very quite.

AR is a real popular with many people. Near the Creek, convenient to the Uptown action, easy run up to Slide Rock Park, comfortable and well managed. You will have a great time!

The Marriott is still growing, and it is a bit out of the main path of action in Scottsdale. We haven't seen the units yet, but it is a Marriott, so I am sure it is quite nice.

As for location, I would find it too remote for action of Scottsdale and PHX even tho it is close to the 101 loop....still a lot of driving.

I much prefer the location of Westin or SDO (Sheraton Desert Oasis) for convenience and "atmosphere."

Emmy, you tell Peter that I said he must see Sedona...it is a short drive from your area! He must, simply....you should not experience it alone!

Muriel, Good choices, especially since LA has that fabulous holiday lights theme....it really is a fun place during the holidays.

I was going to say the same thing! All those beautiful photos you take-I just know you would capture Sedona in the same way. Another vote for Emmy to visit Sedona.

Me, I am visiting in July-yeah, hot, I know-I already live in the desert in Calif. We are staying in a 2bd at the Hyatt. Will start paying serious attention to this forum as the time nears....have to concentrate on our trip to Vegas first.
Then Tahoe then Sedona. I have a trip a month planned for the next three months. Those darn sightings can get the best of you

Ah, but a 2 BD in the Hyatt will keep you cool!

That is great news! And sure it counts! If you keep an eye on the last minute, you sometimes see Tucson in II 59 flex window.

The sightings did me in, too!
I have booked Tahoe at the Worldmark South Shore - very excited to be going.

                              I have heard this, too.
I have a friend who is an owner there and is going next April.
She also says the units are very 'sparse' - not very Marriott-like at all.

I'll see if we can pop in while in the area and try to get back to you on this.
