  • Star-struck

If you are in the Sedona or Flagstaff area, you might find yourself mesmerized by the night sky...Flagstaff participates in the dark sky program, and of course, it has Lowell Observatory.

Here is a link to Programs at Lowell

My middle son is an astrophysicist who works in DC but goes to Lowell at intervals for who knows what! (That is a statement not a question)

Kay, that must be exciting to have an astrophysicist in the family! Wow! I am awestruck and starstruck! I believe there is a relationship building over the years with NASA and Lowell is very connected with that old DC area. Lucky us!

We spent several nights at a B&B outside Bryce Canyon national park last fall. At that altitude and with the clear sky there must have been 4 or 5 times as many stars to be seen as we normally see at home. Quite a sight.

          Kitt Peak National Observatory

The Tucson area is great for star watching, too. Also there is Kitt Peak National Observatory outside of the city. We visited it last spring, very interesting.
