August 2007 update on Roads in Sedona
The Highway 179 project is taking good shape. Traffic delays are rare at the present time. The configuration of the new roundabouts are also becoming visible in several areas, and so far the traffic can move smoothly past these areas with little or no problem.
If you are coming into Sedona from I-17, feel free to take the Sedona Exit at Exit 298, you will find the road freely moving, and the construction distractions or delay much easier to navigate than earlier this year.
There are still concrete barriers in place around areas near The Ridge timeshare in the Village of Oak Creek and near the Factory Outlets in VOC, as well as near the Circle K, but there is access to the businesses in these areas, you just have to slow down and look to find the turn ins.
