Inverness by the Sea - Galveston

Anyone know anything about this resort? Maintenance fees seem kind of high, and the old reviews are not good. However, it's oceanfront and I hear that it's been recently refurbished. I'm originally from Houston and have relatives in Galveston...looking to spend every other Christmas or so there, and I have an opportunity to pick up a unit there.

Any thoughts? Anyone been there recently?

I have not been there but I almost bought there 10 years ago. The resort from what I had heard is nice but needed to be redone. I think they were in the process of redoing there units 2-3 years ago. There are not many resorts in that area that are by the water so that is what makes it popular.

My uderstanding is that there are assesments because of the work done so be sure that you are aware of them and amounts prior to buying.

Thanks to all. I'm going to pass on it...the maintenance is almost as high as my Hawaii week, and that one has a better beach. :-)
