  • Yippeee! Some precipitation may actually get to AZ this weekend!

We have had the same problems in our state that so many states across the nation have had. Severe Severe Severe drought!

Phoenix has an 80% chance of rain this Friday; 50% for Saturday.

Tucson has 80% to 50% Friday and Saturday.

Flagstaff may have some snow/rain during the same time.

Sedona has a 50% chance of rain Friday and Saturday.

We accept all predictions and we will encourage the rain by doing our rain dance! And whatever shows up, rain/snow/sprinkles....wherever it lands, we will drink it in with joy!

Snow levels expected may be around the 7000 ft. level.

For those who may be arriving in our state this weekend, don't be discouraged, the rains will be brief, but a welcome respite for us residents.
Life is short, live it with this awareness.

I hope you do get some. It's cloudy and looks like rain here in the Boston area. Wish we could share with you.

I'd pay good money to see that.

Hope you get some. I'm seeing parts of land in the local resevoir I haven't seen in years.

I hate to say it as I'm not big on snow but I hope it's a wet winter for all of us.

        Catherine,

It can pour as long as it stops by December 8 and it can resume December 16 once I'm outta there.

Looking forward to meeting you for drinks.

We have had lots of clouds, but no rain yet....two fire plumes were hovering above the Mogollon Rim and Verde Valley today....I am just hoping that they are prescribed burns.....things are sooooo dry!

Hmmmm, does $2 seem too high? My DH thinks I should charge more

Sounds great! But don't worry about the chance of rain then....probably will be cool and dry then.

I just talked to my mom in Mesa AZ and she said they got a few drops this morning. Not enough to really wet the golf course grass though. Hope you get some more!

The rain appears to be stalled over Las Vegas. We need it, so that's a good thing.

We got it! Thanks all of you for releasing it and sending it on....we had some good downpours, and the news is that there is likely to be another 2 inches around the state.

Of course, the downside of such a wonderful drenching is that fire burn areas are susceptible for mudslides. That means the Brins Fire burn area in Oak Creek Canyon (be careful if you plan to drive 89A to Flagstaff), and there are some areas in Mogollon Rim.

But the positive aspect is that there may be some snow also, and that is also welcome in the state!

Sweet glorious rain! My rain dance wasn't even needed!

Our forcast is for 4-8" of snow locally and about 12" outstate. Wish I could ship some of that somewhere.

Yep. Starting tomorrow night we're in for a winter storm. Not looking forward to the commute on Monday morning.

                      Glad AZ got some rain!

Our rain gauge showed 3.5 inches by late this afternoon.

We had such a great drenching! On days like this, we are so grateful.

For those of you having snow, and winter storms, I pray that your warm and dry and safe during these events.

Boy, does the air smell clean here! Oh, I wish I could describe how beautifully crisp and clean it sparkles!

It rained very hard here in Murrieta almost all Thursday night and all day Friday. I do not know how much it rained but it raised the water level in our pool by at least 2.5 inches to the overflow drain. We drove up to Riverside and back Friday morning and of course there were the usual problems with accidents on the freeway on the first day it rains. This is the heaviest rain we have had in well over a year.

It is a bright sunny day this morning but we had our first frost of the season.

There may be a repeat of precip this coming weekend.

I have heard rumors of snow near a foot in the highest elevations.

For those of you coming to AZ this weekend, it is expected to be cool for several days, dress accordingly, and if you are driving to Sedona, Grand Canyon, or Flagstaff, check the weather before hitting the highway!

It rained a lot in the past couple of days again. We were at Harrah's Rincon for 3 nights through yesterday. When we left yesterday, there was snow in the immediate mountains. I hope this is an indication that we are going to have a wet winter with lots of snow in the mountains. It is not good for anybody vacationing in Southern California this winter but we need the precipitation.
