Anyone know where I can pick up two discount tickets for Cirque du Soleil for Jan 31, 2008?

Any preference, there are numerous shows? Just saw ad for one on discount either on TV or on the last plane ride, here is the info from TravelZoo for 25%-35% off advance tickets. Sometimes you can get them at tix-4-tonight.

I don't understand how you're going to do both these things or what one has to do with the other except that you seem to want to do them at the exact same time in Lost Wages.

Probably because "Love" is a Cirque du Soleil show.

Actually there are five different Cirque shows (although possibly only three are showing that night). My dd, the Cirque du Soleil fanatic would be upset if I didn't know this.

Are you using this site to purchase tickets, or just to see the times? It looks like, at least for the touring shows, that they are more expensive than if you go to the Cirque du Soleil website.

It's pretty dificult to get discount tickets to the Cirque shows. Travelzoo has announced some pretty significant sales in the past. We did see KA for half price a year ago and were alerted through Travelzoo about the sale.

The five Cirque shows in Vegas can be difficult to get discount tickets but, I have been seeing sales on occasion the last couple of years. The problem is you can't count on those sales. We just got lucky with Ka as I wasn't planning on seeing the show when we did. The discount alerts through Travelzoo are sporadic and the dates on the discounts rarely match out travel plans. It's best to sign up for Travelzoo's top 20 and watch the weekly alerts for sales.

If you have your heart set on seeing this show I'd recommend biting the bullet and just buying the tickets. I wouldn't want to wait on the left over tickets the might (or might not) be available at the same day show outlets like Tickets-4-Tonight and I wouldn't want to accidently get shut out completely with sold out shows. One year I thought I'd wait to buy "O" tickets when we arrived. We ended up seeing "O" the next year as all shows were sold out for the entire week we were there.

Whew! I checked the prices for the Vegas shows and they are way high for those as well. We've only seen two of the permanent Vegas shows, but all of the touring shows since Mystere was first in the Bay area. We've purchased all of the tickets on the Cirque site. In fact I joined the Cirque club in order to get early notice on tickets for the traveling show. The current one that is in San Francisco, Kooza, is wonderful!

Have not seen any discounts for Love.
If you really want to see and hear it, buy in advance. You do not need the most expensive seats and actually even the cheapest seats are just fine, and in some ways better as you have a different more expansive overall view plus can see the people flying back into the wings.
The sound is the main reason that some people go and as there are several speakers built into each seat (lean back into the music) the sound is great everywhere...
There is a discount ticket booth in the fashion show mall (just north of Mirage after the Treasure Island hotel) which does 1/2 price day of. Occasional tickets for the older Cirque shows have appeared there, but not Love.
