Inverness By The Sea Galveston

Thanks to the tip from Lawren to check in the wee hours Sunday mornings, I was able to pull a 2BR in Texas for my SIL's family Spring break. (She's had an ongoing search for almost a year- is the week following Easter THAT popular??) I was able to pull it with a dog week so that's good. However, the reviews are not great and mention renovation plans. Does anyone know if the renovations are complete? I have it on a 24 hour hold.

We own at Inverness by the Sea Galveston and like it, but it is not everyone cup of meat.

It is not a "spa" type resort, but it has large condos and they are addressing some structural issues now, so the room "freshening" is not happening at a fast pace. We like it because it is close to most of the Galveston attractions. We like the staff, who have been at the resort for the last four years we have been going there. All the rooms have a spectacular view of the Gulf with large balconies.

The cons: Some of the rooms are pretty tired and need updating. Seawall Blvd runs directly in front of the property and can be noisy. There is no beach directly in front of the property, but a public beach is within a half of a mile up the Blvd.
