"Best" is so subjective. Do you want a casual restaurant or a buffet? What price range? Will you have a car or be restricted to the Strip area? There is tons of information on Las Vegas if you'll search.

If you want casual/coffee shop, I just ate at Harrah's Café a last week. I had the blackened prime rib "sandwich," which is openfaced on garlic toast and served with fries. Its tender and tasteful. Its been my favorite thing there for maybe 20 years. It costs about $10.

I like the buffet at Green Valley Ranch. I read that it now closes at 9 pm. It's in Henderson, so you have to have a car to get there.

The buffet at the Bellagio is quite good, but is $$.

Carnegie Deli charges $3. extra if you want to split a sandwich. The one and only time I ate there I found the meat to be very lean and thus dry.

I much prefer Canter's Deli in Treasure Island. You have to walk a line, and its mainly sandwiches (and matzo ball soup). You pay, sit down, and they bring it to you. Killer Pastrami. Three people usually share one order of fries. There is no charge for sharing.

Believe it or not the buffet at the Main Street Station off Freemont is pretty good, and very inexpensive. Food is fresh, decent variety and afterwards you can hang out and get a taste of old Vegas. Well sort of if you include the light show.
