Restaurant in Scottsdale

My son-in-laws birthday will be on the day that they arrive in Scottsdale. My daughter has requested that we go out to dinner. Does anyone have a recommendation for a steak/southwestern restaurant that is moderately priced? He wants steak, but also southwestern, and I am sure that we can find a combo. I do not want a chain restaurant. Thanks

How about Rawhide?

or a little South of the area: Rustlers Rooste

or El Paso BBQ.

I cannot give a personal recommendation on these, but the reviews seem pretty even handed.

There is also Flemings, The Capital Grille, Ruth's Chris and Mortons in the area...but you said you didn't want chain-like.

Thanks for the recommendations. I think we might try the El Paso Grill one night. We have decided on the Old Tortilla Factory for my son-in-laws birthday, I think.
