    Room with a View

It all depends on what you want to see. Do you wan to face into the pool? Do you want to look down the strip? Or do want a newer building?

    Here a couple of rules:
    1. Odd number rooms face North, while even # face South
    2. Building 1 - Sage & Building 2 - Primrose - are the original buildings - they are the oldest. They surrond the main pool. Building 9 - Iris was last one to be completed. However building 4 - Daisy - should be completed by the end of 2008 or early 2009 - they should have the new furnishing. Building 1 & 2 will undergo refurbishment in 2009.
    3. If you want a view, go above 6th floor. If you are on the 4th floor, you will have the flood lights shining into your room. Building 9 - Iris has the best view of the strip (ask for odd# rooms). The view from Building 3 Daisy is blocked by Southpoint Casino.

As for picking your room, call Grandview ahead of time, they will usually accomodate your wish.

    Hope this helps!
    Cheers

Thanks Running Man.....we were there last August and they gave us one two bedroom and two one bedrooms all next to each other on the 12th floor (top floor) of Building 8 aka Jasmin. We had the odd numbered units which faced East so we did not hear the construction noise. It basically overlooked the parking lot and the Primrose Building which was fine. All was well.

On the map I have they call building 3 'Lily'.

        Grandview Las Vegas

My wife and I sat at Grandview Las Vegas for 3 hours and negotiated a deal for a 1 bedroom, every year for $13,900 and RCI Points. They registered me for RCI Weeks instead. When I called and that we had agreed to RCI Points, after giving me the run around for nearly 2 weeks they finally came back and said that if I wanted RCI Points I would need to upgrade to a 2 bedroom. Whatever deal you agree to, get it in writing BEFORE signing the contract.

I thought you possibly bought recently and were within the recission period.
Did you read your contract at all to see if you have points or weeks?
I'm not familiar with Grandview or the Daily Management group, but I'm sure there are others who are and they can address the issue better than I. But, I will tell you that you do not need to upgrade to a 2 bedroom for points.
Points are points...you buy so many points and it qualifies for different types of units at different resorts for different times of the year.

So say I buy xx amount of points..I can spend those points anyway I want. I may have only bought enough points to get a studio in high season, but I may be able to get a 1 bedroom in off season.

Look at your contract and see exactly what you bought and let us know. We should be able to help further
