We have a two bedroom and a studio for the second week of November at the Sedona Summit via II. What location should we ask for for best view and being quite - no road noise?

Don't worry about any stinkin road noise, just ask for the best Red Roak views they'll give you. Chances are you're in the original phase and not the MESA SUITES or the SUNCET SUITES which are both newer and fancier.

I agree with Spence regarding how to request....I don't think road noise should be a problem...

By the way, since DRI has taken over some of these resorts now, I have heard that the housecleaning system has changed...they are using an outside vendor from what I hear, like a similar system in some resorts on the southeast coast...I don't know if it has improved the service or not. I don't have this information first hand, it is just what I have been hearing. If someone has firsthand info, please let us know here.

How many stories are their buildings and do they have elevators?

The best views would be from building 24, 25 and 26 but I have a feeling that those are reserved for Diamond Resorts owners. These are also close to the Mesa Grill/Hot tub area which offers a nice view while you cook/eat or soak.

Two stories, no elevators in buildings near where we were (building 16) but this is a huge resort so there may be some three stories in the new fancy shmancy buildings.

              I did a review.

The buildings that back up to 89A may get occasional road noise but it's not a very busy road. Ask for something on the north side of Navoti.

Free in the lounge off the lobby, 8 bucks a day or about 40ish a week for wireless in your room.

I booked a new 3 bedroom Sunset unit last May and it was absolutely fantastic.
My first stay was in a 1 bedroom original unit and there is no comparison.
The Sunset unit had 5 large flat screen TVs, two or three jacuzzi tubs, granite counter tops and wonderfully furnished... but used by 4 bikers who used the kitchen mostly to stack beer cans in a pyramid.
Three of us are returning again this May, and on the motorcycles again, but our ladies will fly into Phoenix and we'll pick them up (or hopefully they'll rent a van!)

Where was this Sunset Unit? Sedona? Could you give some more details?

i was there in June. it was GREAT! we got a new room on the 2nd floor (no elevator but not needed). the room was amazing. All other places are a disappointment compared to this.

House keeping was fine. it was clean and well kept.

So, what building did you get? What did you think of the resort?

The Sunset Suites are the newest units at Sedona Summit.
I'm fairly sure most have Red Rock views.
Our unit last May had a back patio that looked right onto the Mesas to the North, unfortunately they were still landscaping and digging ditches so we also had great views of the workers during our morning coffee and afternoon "tea", burrrp.

I seriously doubt if any of the units at Sedona Summit would have significant Road Noise.

We were in the building next to the Office/Check-In Building, it was an older building with a good view of the rocks. The resort was nice and would go back. Had a great lunch with Katiemack and her husband.
