I was just in Vegas for a few days and decided to stop at the HGVC at Flamingo to see if I could get a peek at the new renovated rooms.
I happened to go on Sunday at check-in time, poor timing, but I have to say the front desk manager, Chauffe, said not only could we see a room, but she would give us a tour.
She took us to room 523 a 2 bedroom lockout. It was beautiful. Black granite counter tops, cherry colored cabinets with black appliances. Living room color scheme was brick, olive green and a yellowish cream.
You enter through double doors into a foyer and there is then 2 doors; one for the one bedroom portion complete with full kitchen, whirlpool and W/D. The other has the studio portion with kitchette, no W/D and small whirlpool. The only entryway into each unit is through the foyer area, so it does feel like 2 separate units. Both units overlook the Flamingo and HGVC pool.
Free WiFi in the rooms and a small business center which charges for the use of the computer, but they do print out boarding passes free of charge.
There is a gym with 2 or 3 treadmills, an eliptical machine and some weight machines, which all appear newer.
Deli in the resort is nice size and seems to carry most items at reasonable prices.
The pool is open year round and is heated, although I didn't test it. You do have access to the Flamingo pool, which is not heated and is open seasonally.
