Route and weather for Lake Tahoe

Have reservations for Marriott's Timber Lodge in South Lake Tahoe, Ca. for April 26-May 3 and will be driving there from Las Vegas. Anyone has recomendations of route to take and what we can expect in road conditions.

Wouldn't you just take 95 up to Yerrington and then head southwest towards Topaz Lake, then head north on 395, finally heading west on 207 toward Stateline, S Lake Tahoe? I just drove from SoCal to Idaho on 395 last weekend and all roads were fine until the NV/OR border. It was 60+ degrees in the Lee Vining area with some slight remnants of snow around 8000ft elevation, but none on the roads. I can't imagine you'd have any road issues that late in the year, particularly since you'll be travelling further east and at lower elevation.

Thank you for the information. Being from the deep south flatlands we all associate mountains with snow and icy roads.
