Lake Powell: Any timeshares convenient?

The latest National Geographic has some gorgeous pictures of Lake Powell and the Glen Canyon. My husband has expressed a desire to go there.

Are there any timeshares in the vicinity, or near enough? I checked the RCI catalog and it looks like St George, Utah or Durango CO are the closest, but can't tell if it's feasible to visit Lake Powell from there.

You can try use any map site to get a direction from city to city. Lake Powell is Page, AZ. I believe you can google it and get to their website. From Flagsatff is 133 mile. From St George is 154 mile. From Durango is 260 mile. But base on the map, It will take 2hr 54 min from Saint George but 3hr 21 min from Flagstaff

Think about combining Lake Powell with a TS week because it's a bit far for a day trip - I think you'll want a couple of extra nights, if you can spare the time. A few years ago we spent a TS week in St. George to see the national and state parks, then added 2 nights at North Rim and then either a night or 2, I can't recall which, at a b&b within view of Lake Powell, past Wahweap Marina. I believe we took 2 different cruises on Lake Powell (a shorter sunset one the day we arrived, then a trip to Rainbow Bridge the next day). The only thing that detracted from the beauty was all the noisy jet skis buzzing past the boat. We also went on a little guided tour to the famous Antelope slot canyon on the way. Even my snapshots turned out amazing there. It was all worthwhile!
