  • Need Help w room in Vegas

After my trip to Utah we will be spending 2 nights Oct 1/2 in Las Vegas. I have signed up for promos but nothing has come in yet. Does anyone know of any good deals at this time? TIA shaggy

Check Las Vegas Hotel Promotion Codes | Las Vegas Discount Coupons | Las Vegas Hotels | Las Vegas Shows and BroadwayBox.com: free Broadway shows Discount codes for broadway theater tickets (they have a Vegas section). They are good places to find lots of deals in one place.

Don't know how you feel about them, but Monte Carlo and New York, New York are both running around $50.00 a night and include quite a bit of food credit.

          Shaggy,
If nothing else comes through,Harrah's frequently has good prices. If you don't mind being a bit out, South Point might do. They have a shuttle to the Strip AND the airport, and the restaurants are reasonably priced.

I probably won't be able to see you this trip, because it's doubtful I'll be walking much before the middle to end of October.

Marge, I might just go for that one. It's the Friday night stay that is making everything so high. I'm betting it's the Excalibur. shaggy

try FlyerTalk - The world's most popular frequent flyer community and go to the hotel deals section. Lots of deals there. We usually stay at the MGM Grand and always pay under $100 a night.

                  Cheers

With the food offers at NyNy and Monte Carlo that are included in their $50.00 rate, that brings their rates way down. In addition, Travel Deals: Airfare, Vacations, Cruises, and More | Travelzoo has a deal of $33.00 a night and they throw in some slot credit:
$66 -- Las Vegas: 2-Night Stay incl. Credit*
                    Las Vegas, Nev.

Top 20 deal - sells out quickly!
                    Travel dates: Sunday-Wednesday through December

The Gold Coast Hotel & Casino is offering a $66 special, which includes a two-night stay, a $20 resort credit and $60 in match play. The effective rate of $33 per night makes this a deal, even before factoring in the extra value.

This offer is available for Sunday-Wednesday check-ins the following dates:

                    Sept. 20-24
                    Sept. 27 - Oct. 1
                    Oct. 11-15
                    Nov. 8-12
                    Dec. 13-17
Additionally, Sunday-Tuesday check-ins are available these dates:

                    Nov. 22-24
                    Dec. 20-24
Located across from The Palms just minutes from The Strip, this AAA 3-Diamond hotel offers a complimentary shuttle bus to The Strip and The Orleans.

Click here for more information and to book directly with Gold Coast. Or call 888-402-6278 and mention promo code TRG2009. Book by Aug. 28.

Travelzoo Tip: Select weekends are slightly more at $109 for two nights with a $30 resort credit and $80 in match play. This is a great deal as it is rare to find weekend deals in Vegas under $100 per night.

My neighbors want to be right on the strip. They have rewards points for a free room which I think is a waste as the rooms are pretty cheap (except on the weekends) This part of the trip is driving me nuts. I'm so used to Kelli & me doing whatever we want. I want to make sure they also have the "trip of a lifetime" I'd like to go somewhere that's reasonable and I wouldn't mind being off the strip but they don't. I'm thinking of the strat only because I want them to see the strip at sunset from way up high and Kelli wants to do the rides which are 2/1 on the website.

Thanks for letting me rant and if I haven't said thank you , I meant to. I've checked out all the links and the deals are good but they are not going thru Oct 1/2 yet.

                      Hugs, shaggy

I'm no Vegas expert but the Stratosphere is in a terrible neighborhood. At least it was when I was there a few years ago.

Last time I stayed at the Mandalay Bay. It's real nice with a great lazy river. Good location for walking too. Dont' know of their specials though.
Nice view of the strip at night from the rooms.

                        Have fun.

                          Hi Shaggy,

Some years ago for our trip to St George, to which we added a few days in Las Vegas, I found a good rate on rooms at the Luxor on their website ... I was checking because it looked so cool from the outside.

It was fun being inside the pyramid, and going up the elevator at a slant (cheap thrills I know), and they had some neat Egyptian stuff on display in there.

Just another idea - if like me, you always wanted to see the pyramids in Egypt but figured you will probably never make it! (We have also stayed at Treasure Island, but Luxor was more fun. It was worth it being a bit farther down on the strip for this.)

It wouldn't be the Excalibur as it is on the South end of the Strip.

Just do a lot of searches. Bear in mind that almost all of the deals you see are for weekdays Sun-Thursday. You might enjoy the Silverton where we have stayed many times. It is rustic and quite charming with a good casino and restaurants. It is popular with the locals. The rooms are nice with very comfortable beds. The rates are very reasonable. Below is a link to the Silverton.

Another good choice is the South Point as mentioned earlier. It is fairly new, with a 16 screen theater, 64 lane bowling alley, Horse arena, very large nice rooms, good casino and many restaurants. Reasonable rates. You get a very good discount book which has some good deals. They do have a free shuttle to the airport which is worth something. They also have a free shuttle to the Mandalay Bay. Thanks for all the suggestions. My problem, she wants to use her VISA points so hers will be free. She wants to stay on the strip. Me? I'd love to stay at the Orleans or somewhere that has a shuttle . I suggested we bring the car back on Thurs and just use the shuttles. Oh, well, I can suggest. I'll let you know what we deceide to do. I keep on checking all these links but most haven't gotten to Oct. yet. shaggy
