    Hey All,

New to the forum... I landed here as I have been toying with the idea of purchasing a TimeShare. I use to frequent the Nevada area three to four times annually, but recently have not had the opportunity too. Obviously, like everyone out there I am not looking to spend a lot.

Throw me some recommendations, and warnings!

    < Much Appreciated

Don't jump in head first. Read everything you can in every forum on TS4Ms, take two aspirin if you need them. Wait six months, then decide what you want to do. Everything can be had for cheap, some cheaper than others.

Thanks! Do you have any suggestions of areas and locations to research?

Your question is way to broad as was your original question. My answer

The usual answer is to buy where you'd want to visit most years. Then you won't need to worry about getting an exchange or trying to rent it out.

That said, I bought my first TS in Orlando from eBay. I've never been there, but I've gotten very nice exchanges for it. I own a floating week and I always book the prime season.

          Some questions to consider:
What is most important to you on your vacations?

How much room do you think you'll need?

Might you want a "lock-off" unit so that you can deposit one for exchange and keep one - or deposit both?

Will an extra couple (or more) hundred dollars in yearly maintenance fees difference in resort locations be important to you?

What time of year do you plan to vacation? If you're looking for prime season most years, you will probably want to own in a prime season. If you're like me and prefer to vacation when the crowds aren't there, you might even find renting is less expensive than the maintenance fees.

Good advice to read for a while before you even think about buying.

          Good luck!

          Sue
