  • Natural Gas Conversion at christmas Mountain

200 units have been converted, and the really good news, Alliant has returned the $300,000 deposit to the Christmas Mountain POA, so the conversion was at no cost.

    How about the fireplaces?

Do you know if they had to buy new natural gas fireplaces to replace the old propane fireplaces? Or is there a simple adjustment? (We had a natural gas clothes dryer that had to be converted to propane.)

Also, are all of the "wood" fireplaces being converted to "gas" fireplaces?

I know that CMV's own maintenance staff was doing the conversions.
I don't know about converting wood burning to gas.
We got a price of $660 for the conversion to our house, that did not include the fireplace. From what I understand, there are conversion kits for the hot water heater, dryer, and stove. The furnace is built in. We will need some piping changes and i bet the older buildings did too. 200 units have been changed over at this point.
