  • Wisconsin Dells 2010

Culver's has moved from downtown Dells to a location near the Taco Bell. A family restaurant is in the old location.

They are building some kind of slingshot ride at christmas Mountain. you get into a harness and zig and zag to the top of the ski hills and over the trees. Right now they are only clearing some places on the ski hills.

A new water slide at Noah's Ark is being advertised as the steepest or fastest in the world.

Comedy Night back at Christmas Mountain on Thursdays, one set for 4th of july and trying to get other acts.
The hot tub at the Oak Villas/Timbers is not open due to lots of expensive problems, but they are working on them. Other than that pools set to open this weekend.

Also, a bear spotted roaming around Trappers Turn Golf Course.

a new director of golf, who used to be the pro at Trappers Turn, Caleb Turbott, a local young man and a good choice.

The bear has now been spotted at the Christmas Mountain Ranch on the riding trails.

We used the Dells Fun Card for the fish fry at the Local Pointe Restaurant. It was delicious, i would recommend it, and it is bogo with the fun card.

            never have!
Honestly, it happens so frequently they would have to cut the price in half. But people in the timeshares don't seem to mind.

Christmas Mountain is a great central place for my daughter and her college girl friends to have weekend get-togethers. They planned something like an "Oscars" weekend only to have the TV go out soon after the program started. It happened during "mud" season when few want to go to the Dells. You can't hike, you can't golf, you can't go into town for river rides, you can't swim in the indoor pool (it's too tiny). What can you do? Visit and share a TV special. And then even that (TV) disappeared.

yes, TV reception is way worse now. when it is on, it is fuzzy, and it goes off too; often. I don't know what is going on.

We noticed yesterday that Cold Stone Creamery has closed.

Thanks for the great update. Sounds like ziplining is coming to Christmas Mountain. There is another one opening up besides the one at the Wilderness as well. Bigfoot Zipline Tours

Also new this year is a Ghost tour and Hillbilly Tour.

I have to find out about the ghost tour and the hillbilly tour. I can't imagine what they will do. I think those two are out of the comedy club.

I just read in the paper that the Broadway Theater has closed and will not reopen unless the economy improves.

Then i read that not only does the Wilderness have Zip lines, but the Dells Army ducks is putting in zip lines. so Christmas Mountain is going to have a lot of competition.

Also said they had the best crowds for Memorial weekend in many years.

                        CMV Zip Line

At least, CMV's zip line will have a higher altitude view than the others or so I would think anyway. Although it may not be high enough to be able to see far and away or above the tree line high enough to see the river downtown. Anyone who has been skiing up there have any input on this?

No you won't be able to see the river.
